During the shelter in place order you are still allowed to go get food from the grocery store or a food pantry. We understand that food supplies are low in some stores and there is a need for those who are economically challenged to have access to food. We also want to love our neighbor by sheltering in place as much as possible and keeping a six foot social distance. To make sure we can offer food and keep a social distance, the food pantry will serve people in the follow way:
We will be open on Tuesday, April 7th by appointment only.
To make an appointment call (423) 698-5682. If no one answers, leave a message. We are not holding office hours, but check the messages often and we will get back to you!
Once your appointment is made, come to the church using the circle drive on 3rd Street across from the Glenwood Recreational Center. When you pull up to the wood doors, please remain in your vehicle and pop the trunk. Pastor Scott will put the groceries in your trunk or truck bed for you.
We will only put food in trunks or beds of trucks.
If you are not able to use your trunk
we will leave the food on the sidewalk for you to load into the car yourself.
If you are unable lift the groceries, please bring someone you live with who can.
At this time we are unable to obtain fresh produce.
